I've been buying parts for my Hobie from Murrays for years and have had a hard time getting them lately. Has anyone else had a difficult time in the past few months?

Gulf Coast relocated from Cali...
Murray's Hobie supplier has been Sailboats of Bakersfield for years. Las I heard, Dave (Sailboats of B.) was retiring and closing shop. Murray's may be dealing with a different source now. I'm sure they will get the kinks ironed out in due time. I know Steve Murray personaly and his commitment to doing things right is outstanding. The other thing may be how things are being done at Hobie Cat. It kind of depends on what boat you're ordering parts for and what they have in stock. Murray's does stock Hobie items but some stuff has to be ordered. If you're ordering Tiger parts, that can be the problem. I've done work for them but not since '05 and I know that the Tiger parts list was missing LOTS of specific items for that boat.

Hope this helps.

Murray's is not a Hobie Dealer, so they can not purchase parts from the Hobie factory. They had a third party deal to buy parts from Bakersfield, but that is over due to the dealership closing.

Contact an authorized dealer for Hobie parts and accessories

I recently ordered some parts from Murrays, they were not Hobie parts, but they did not have them in stock when I ordered. This put me in a slight bind because I was going to rig the boat a specific day. When they got the parts in they called me and said that they would ship them overnight free of charge to help me out.
