Are the hull identification numbers located underneath
the rear beam - meaning do I have to take the beam loose
to see them

On my '77 5.2, the HIN is just behind the rear beam, on the starboard side.
I don't know about 5.5's

on the pre-1985 solid glass hulls numbers are on the top edge of the right hull just aft of the beam and inspection hatch. post 85 with the foam hulls....maybe different

i've got a litle project going on of recording and trying to make sense of nacra hull numbers.

the TRRC number boats are solid glass and the NAC boat is foam. built in different yards i think
