Posts: 1,246 Orlando, FL | Scoring Corrrection:
In the 5th Race (2nd Race on Sunday) I was scored a "2" ...
... I was actually last. After a capsize late in the 1st race on Sunday, I had to go to shore to lower and raise my main (main sail came out of the lower luff track). I was late to the start and after doing one AC(g) I sailed thru the S-F to inform the RC to score me a last and I'll wait for the next race to start.
This didn't get properly recorded.
Looking at the results I don't think it made any differnece to those that finished 1-5.

Posts: 2,921 Michigan | I thought that they DSQd some boats for not rounding the offset mark in R1. Not that it makes a difference to me. For the record it wasn't Mark Murray and Patrick Pettengill it was Patrick Pettengill and Joe Pocreva

Posts: 602 Wilmington,NC | Evan and I thank Kirk and the Pensacola guys for another great regatta and the Layline team for coming(and showing us that footing is fast!). Also thanks to Alex and John for stopping and directing the rescue boat to Evan. John/Evan, Mike and I wanted to tell you guys how well you sailed and meet you after the regatta, but with the boat set up areas spread out we missed you. You guys are going to be really good as soon as you get some time on the boat. If you have any boat setup questions or need any help just ask and we will be glad to help. If you can make it to Spring Fever I think there are 15 F18's signed up with all kinds of great sailors. | | | Re: Perf. Mid Winter scores?

Posts: 6,049 Sebring, Florida. | Did any of the boats get weighed? There was a discussion here a few weeks ago about what all these cats actaully weigh, were the scales available to find out?

Posts: 6,049 Sebring, Florida. | Are you going to allow the F17 and F16's to use it too, at Spring Fever? It would be nice to finally know what we all weigh! Thanks in advance.

Posts: 3,293 Long Beach, California | I think a small fee was proposed - never heard the final word from the Class. I don't have a problem with other boats getting weighed on the Class scales, especially if there's a small revenue stream to help offset the cost of the scales/maint/transport.

After watching Lionel Messi play, I realize I need to sail harder.

When we were at Spring Fever, Tracie and others were on the job all day, just weighing the F18's. These are not bathroom scales -- they are pretty high-tech. | | | Re: Perf. Mid Winter scores?

We will weigh other boats if time permits for a fee of 10.00. The boats will be weighed at the top of the hill around the tent. | | |
