Neat stuff, but pricey:
Taco Marine Board Prices

That sheet weighs 36 lbs - about the same density as red cedar - maybe a little lighter than plywood.

$350 for a 1/2" x 54" x 96" sheet.

I always had the impression that that material was a derivative of Dupont Corean (sp?).

I used it to make a winch platform. it replaced the 3/4 in marine ply that was original. i use the 3/4 as a straight replacement of 3/4 in plywood. it worked well . no problems. it looked much better. easy to maintain. use a router on the edges. when you cut it with a regular saw the edges can be sharp. this is the best pic i can find right now of it. upper right picture before i cut the sharp corners off of it.

This stuff is also known as "Starboard". West Marine sells it, but at a really hig price. Boater's World sells it as well at a better price. Last year Bass Pro Shops had it at half the price of West Marine's yet exact same product (same UPC code). Many of your cabinet makers can order it for you. Cool stuff, to make really neat stuff use the adhesive compound that can be purchased for it.
