The length of the boats was increased to 3.80m by consensus does any one have an issue with this?

I don't.

I'm very happy with that length mostly because I want these boats to be cartoppable over a very wide range of cars. I got a small car myself (Toyota starlet) and that is just shy of that allowing onwers of such small car to legally transport it on their roofs.
