Please don't forget that the SEVERN BRIDGE TOLLS only accept Cash in sterling. A car and trailer is approx £6.00 A van and trailer is approx £11.00 I'm pretty sure they don't accept any other currency and they definitely don't accept credit cards.
Also, beware of the speed camera's near the toll booths (50mph limit). There are often mobile speed camera's as you go down the long hill before the Pen-Coed junction and as Wayne's previously found out a permanent Camera on the Mumbles Road just after the Golf Course approx 3 miles before Mumbles.
There are also major road works between Newport and Cardiff which might cause some delays if you were intending to travel early Saturday!
I hope you all have a safe journey.
Mark

Mark, do we need to have some kind of papers to enter England with the catamaran (insurance papers,...)? Or is it ok to just show our id?

I hope weather will be good to cross the channel with our boat on the boat.

Hi Kathleen
You shouldn't have any problems bringing your boat across. The Ferry operators and customs are used to them. What you do tend to notice a lot is the people who don't switch their Car alarms off and as soon as ferry gets under way there's a chorus of alarms being set off due to the boats movement.

If anybody gives you any hassle just tell them you're going to Wales <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Just checked and the Severn toll is £5.30; I think it's the same price for a car and trailer as just car.
