I'm looking at purchasing a Nacra cat. The seller only knows the boat as a '6 meter'. I'm familliar with names such as 5.2, 5.5, 5.8. Can anybody tell by looking at the picture what Nacra this is? [Linked Image]

I was assuming it was a Nacra 6.0, however I couldn't find anything on the web about nacra 6.0's, so I was thinking it might be something else. but I've since found performancecat.com, other forum posts showing Nacra 6.0.

Looks like the original Nacra 6.0. Too big for a 5.8 or 5.5 (looking at the distance from the rear beam to the transom). Not a NA version b/c no double diamonds - right?

Is that Harken track on the front beam? I had a 6.0 about that same age with a self tacking jib that used a foil instead of bridal wires and a single block & cleat for sheeting.
It doesn't look like a 5.8. The rear end of the hulls are finished. 5.8 were not.
An even older version used bridal wires up front like a 5.8

That looks like an early 6.o with the tramp sweeper mainsail that you have to batter your way under on a tack or gybe.

Agree - early 6.0, pre-NA rig.

The 6.0 was a great boat and once had a terrific class. It used to be the boat of choice for the Worrell and was a real hoot downwind.
