what's new to me is the keel stringer cracks forward of the bulkhead, no real way to check those without lifting the decks
i'm assuming that gree painted his hulls after removing the decks as it couldn't get them down again as cleanly as he wanted???
i'll probably not go pulling them off my boat as it has been only lightly used, small lake doesn't get much in the way of chop or waves and i'm only ever solo. time will tell
got my 1st look at a getaway the other day when 1 appeared on the lake on a gusty day. not long before it went over, presumably because people were too lazy to get off the armchairs after tacks. ended up with wife and husband on the hulls and kids far upwind waiting for dad to come get them. kids finally kicked there way to the upturned boat and all sat on the hulls until a speedboat took the kids and wife back to shore. then it came back with a righting rope and a kindly laser sailer tipped his boat over and then climbed on the hulls to provide the extra weight to get it back up. hobie bob had been doing his job well. meanwhile i was sailing nearby but couldn't do too much to help as as even on trap the gusts wanted to send me up past 45degrees. when by the time they got back up there were in a new area of the lake so i guided them up the more sheltered narrow island channel to their beach
