Does anyone have a suggestion on a rudder system for a 5.0 g-cat? Need help!!

i saw him the other day on the beach, he said it would cost 1100$ for him to make me a set of rudders.

Hmmm, I was under the impression that he still had lots of old parts around.

he said he no longer makes a metal casting (all fiberglass) it would be brand new though.

know of any g-cat graveyards?

there are a few G-Cats around here, you can probably get a whole boat foe $500 if you look around. I was always happy with the old G-Cat Rudder system, simple, effective, easy.

I keep braking one of the blades. And have been through a housing the boat has been sailed hard. I sail in a shallow area north of Tampa blades kick up and you have no steering. Dotans are either all the way up or all the way down. I have been looking for an old gcat in ok condition.

Can't you just take any old set of rudders off say, a discarded H16 with broken hulls, move the pintles on your boat to fit, and use those? Why does it have to be G cat specific?

It dosen't have to be gcat, that sounds like a good idea, are those rudders any good?

H16 rudders are bulletproof.
Just get new ONE-PIECE RUDDER GUDGEONS for hulls
