Posts: 1,383 Kingston SE South Australia | There's a couple of Cobra's with spins, Hobie 18 and Taipan 4.9 at the Rivoli Bay Sailing club at Southend in SA. These cats have all just coverted from Lasers so good to support a club swinging to the dark side. Here's a copy of their flier. I sailed there last weekend great hospitality plenty of wind, nice clubrooms. There are other cats attending dont know what.

Posts: 432 McCrae Y.C. Mornington Peninsu... | We had our marathon at McCrae last Sunday and after an unusually good result for me ( including a reach all the way from Sorrento back to McCrae in 14-18knots) I think I've developed a taste for distance racing. Im thinking of making the trip to Torquay on Sunday if the weather looks good. Anyone else going? Cheers

Posts: 432 McCrae Y.C. Mornington Peninsu... | Hi Rob, I would join you but we have a morning and afternoon race on the Monday with a "pie and lamington" lunch in between. Can't resist either so the one day event on Sunday sort of suits. If I'm in Torquay/McCrae and Rob's at Altona... what are the rest of you up to? Cheers

Posts: 556 Somers, Westernport Bay, Victo... | Somers Y.C. has it's annual Alan Sanders Cup (yardstick), Commodores Cup (handicap) and veterans cup consisting of 4 races run over Saturday, Sunday and Monday. This is a complete fleet based race series even though there are separate divisional starts. There are usually 60 to 70 Somers yachts competing. Most of the Somers 12 Mozzies will compete and I'm sure that Matt Stone will be keen to race after the Nationals having just missing out on the Westernport Challenge last weekend. Unfortunately I will miss out since I have a prior committment. Regards, Peter
