Hey everyone,

I grew up on Long Island and Started Sailing with Joe and Keith Seluga, i did quite a few races with them on the NACRA 6.0 From Robins Island to just cruising at Heckscher State Park. There isn't a week that goes by where i don't think about sailing!!

I was wondering if anyone on the board knows of anyone in Southern California that might be interested in having someone reliable to handle the Main and Jib.

Thanks everyone

Contact John Williams. He knows everyone. Literally. Especially in SoCal.

Where do you live, Owen? San Diego's got a good fleet at MBYC, and Long Beach has a good fleet at ABYC. Both fleets need people. There's a good schedule of events between the Hobie 16s, the F18s and the A-class regionally, with a pocket of Nacra 20s at MBYC. I know of boats for sale if you want your own, or of skippers that need crew if you'd rather. There are also lots of on-the-water jobs available throughout the year. Drop me a PM and we'll trade contact info.

And thanks, Tad - nice of you to say, but I'm still pretty much the FNG out here. wink

Oh, whatever JW. You're pretty connected my friend. As soon as we find out where dude's at we'll be able to guide him. Div 3 is strong! So is Div 2. We've got ABYC, some Aclass around. We're dialed, just need a location.

I'm at MBYC in San Diego. We have several boats that often need crew, my F18 included. As everyone else has said, where in SoCal?

Mitch,
Don't know if Schwartzi told you but I've got a charter N20 for the race. See you on the starting line baby!

You just missed a million Hobie sailors by a couple months. There were a big bunch of us down the road a few miles in Dana Point for a regatta last September.

I live in Irvine, CA. I retired from sailing and am now windsurfing all over the area.

I know hobiegary on the forums has a group of cat sailors in Marina Del Rey. I have seen cats at Sunset beach in long beach. I have also seen cats at cabrillo beach and i have seen more at my favorite Lake Isabella (f'n windy).

Message hobiegary he has helped me many times over the years and is a nice guy.
