I don't think this boat has been mentioned here yet

BRAND NEW
HOBIE ADVANCE
12FT ROTO-MOULDED CAT

12 foot catamaran with performance hull shape and rig, combined with single trapeze for an exciting sail. Weighing only 105 kilos the Advance is an ideal single-hander which can be easily rigged and launched by one person, there is also room aboard for a lightweight crew. Transporting the Advance is no problem as it is car-toppable or very easy to tow. Like all Hobie models the build quality and running gear are excellent and the triple layer rotomoulded polyethelene hull is ideal for sailing off the beach

a PDF brochure is also here http://www.southsandssailing.co.uk/advance.pdf

Not mentioned on this forum but it was included in the analysis I did of the sailing scene a while ago.

Two interesting details concerning the Advance.

-1- It costs 5371 Euro's (although the link provided by Grob mentions 2990 British pounds = 3500 Euro)

proust-sailing.com/hobie-polyethylene-56/

-2- The brochure recommends using a bridle spreader bar when it is sailed by a crew of more weight than 75 kg or when the craft is sailing in more then windforce 3. I kid you not ! Failing to do so voids the warrenty. I'll bet the spreader bar is "extra"

And by the way the Europe cat Europe site quotes the boat at 115 kg instead of 105 kg

As does the brochure that Grob links too.

I think it certainly has the looks right but 105kg :o, that's the same as my blade, who's kids are going to lift that up the beach?

Interesting inovation on page 4 of the manual - hulls aligned in toe-out position wink
