Thanks for all the info guys, this is what I needed. With this info I can see if a "typical" F18 Spin will fit or if I need a custom spin.

I now have to measure mine and see if the average 8.5m luff is more or less than what I have. I'm hoping mine is 9m. I'm sure it's not but if it is, I have a solution. And it opens up the market for used F18 spinns for me.

If you don't have enough luff length then try to get used F16 spinnakers. These are a little shorter in the luff. From memory about 8.00 mtr long luffs.

Yes it is. http://www.f18-international.org/F18_2007_Class_Rules.pdf

See C.4.4.1

Also read ISAF site; essentially, a sail that has a girth-rule-measurement less than 75% is a Genoa / Jib / Screacher and so DOES NOT MEASURE AS A SPI.
