Posts: 432 McCrae Y.C. Mornington Peninsu... | Hi All, I'm running late with winter repairs (as usual) and may not have the girl water-tight for the cat champs. If anyone wants to sail Sloop Rigged with a 95kg crew (perfect weight for the usual conditions ) with a bit of local knowledge, give me a yell. Either way, I'll see you there. Whos coming? Cheers, Simon

Posts: 205 Melb. Aust | Hi Guys, Jake has Tennis on the Saturday of the Cat Champs so I may be in need of a crew (though cat rig is good!)But I am thinking that 171 kg on the Toy might strain things a bit! The series would need to be renamed to the Fat Champs Trev

Posts: 432 McCrae Y.C. Mornington Peninsu... | Ease up Trev... I'm only 3kg over my ideal weight for height Think how fast we'd go in 20-25 with all that weight hanging off the side!! Be a good chance to see if any of the rig needs replacing On a more serious note... I'm still hopeful of being ready. Should have the important stuff done and I'll leave the cosmetics for after. Mind you, if it blows, we might have some fun sloop rigged Cheers,

Dusted boat off yesterday in 20 - 25 knots at Cleveland in racing, wow was I rusty. Sailed crap but was good to get out.
Could have used some of that weight yesterday.
Will have the kite as well at champs.

Posts: 135 Bendigo, Victoria, Australia | Good news is that I managed to arrange the McCrae weekend off. Bad news is that I'll be plastering the extension at home. (Only weekend assistance is available.) Have a great weekend everyone, look forward to reading the report. May the gods of fair wind and flat water smile upon you.

Here I was thinking you lot were discussing national champs.
But it is some local 'mexican' darby.
Thanks for invite but you are right I will not be making the long drive, maybe another time.
Hope to see you all at nat champs.....

And may your plaster be free of bumps, blemishes or unseemly shadows that only show up when the sun's at a certain angle and you stand in a certain position Actually. Fair winds AND flat water, both at the same time may be a lot to ask for. I'll be happy if the Goblin of Gear Failure, and Naiad of Nosedives just stay away.

Posts: 432 McCrae Y.C. Mornington Peninsu... | Hi Tim,
You wont have.. most people seem to register on the Saturday morning.. seems people are slow to embrace the wonders of online entry.
Cheers,
P.S. will be sending an email re spin states this evening, currently in the shed, frantic with boat repairs. Should make it for Saturday... water tight but not pretty.

I'm not handing it over if it's a drifter though. We have far too many photos of stationary Mozzies.
