Posts: 805 Gainesville, FL 32607 USA | Jeez, here come the pervs out of the woodwork. Don't you guys have a nasty old boat to clean or something? Actually I like the Mug Race. Only done it 30 times so far. Its most fun on my 39 year-old wooden Catnip with an old chute. Until the wind quits as usual for 2 hours just 4 miles from the finish, usually the only boat to have gone by til then was the big green RC-30. I have never put a cat over the sea wall. See there she is <-- over there

Posts: 6,049 Sebring, Florida. | I think this year I'll do it on a Jet Ski and beat all you clowns to the keg, even the RC30! And for a -small fee- I will throw you a tow line! Dave, I'm sure we can get the Jackalope up on the foils, at about 20kts behind the Jet Ski, light air or no!

Posts: 6,049 Sebring, Florida. | Wait a minute...I just had a brilliant Idea!! (no, Really!)
I'll tow the Hobie 14, loaded down with 4 coolers full of beer, and a boom box of course, blasting ABBA or Madona, or Lady Gaga, behind the Jet Ski and sell you guys beers while you are sitting there waiting for the wind to come back! For a small additional fee, I'll turn off the ABBA and turn on the Stevie Ray Vaughn. Otherwise, I will circle you until you relent and cough up the dough!
Bring money, or earplugs!

Posts: 1,246 Orlando, FL | Besides Timmy nobody's done it on an F16 uni and with the breezes the Mug Race gets I'm really surprised one of you uni guys haven't tried to capture the mug. If there is a race made for the F16 uni this one is it! You could be the hero! Are you waiting for one of the A-cat's w/ spin to take it before you pull the trigger?
Okay, I've got a target date for 2011 Mug Race to be May 7. Can anyone confirm that this is the appropriate date. Gotta know the date so Timmy can get a Kitchen Pass....and this race is within 4 hour drive from Sebring!!

Posts: 6,049 Sebring, Florida. | We should try to get a whole bunch of F16 Unis out for it, and I'll be sleeping on -your- floor at the Holiday Inn Polatka that night, and on the Hobie 14 tramp with the ABBA blasting at the Rudder club when it's over...

The date hasn't been posted yet, and it's always been the first Saturday in May so May 7 would be highly probable.

Posts: 6,049 Sebring, Florida. | I don't even have a Jet Ski!
But my neighbor has one, I think if I offer him enough free beer he'd love to come along just for the party!
