I know! We've kicked this around for a couple of years, time to light the fire!

Besides, I'd like to sail in Naples. The water is gorgeous but the hotel rates are normally out of my league. It would take something like the Hospice regatta to get me to bite the bullet on a hotel.

The thing is you have to be a believer in Hospice care and I am absolutely on board with them! Unless you've had a loved one as a Hospice patient it's difficult to understand.

Actually, I have maintained contact with Naples Hotel & Beach club, and it does look like they have the facilities/parking/amenities that make for a good regatta.

I was hoping to gather some hard data (hotel nights, etc) from F18NA to take to their management and present my "evil master plan" of having a beachcat/light sportboat regatta. I think that there may even be some funding opportunities if I petition the right groups here... Obviously this would be a 2012or 2013 timeframe
