...FREE stuff. I am sure Rick likes folks to know what is going on, but why are you trying to steal folks from this site? Be a man and do it on your own, rather than stealing from someone else's hard work.

We have reminded folks in the past that SCUTTLEBUTT was a great way of staying in touch with the entire arena of sailing and received a similar message to what you have placed here from yet another "ANONYMOUS POSTER" on the old forum. At that time I wrote Rick and asked him if this posed any problem whatsoever or if he thought it was a good idea.

He replied that he "didn't mind at all and encouraged folks to seek information on the net regardless of the source".

This isn't about advertising and if you know anything about our website you'll note that it is far more :INFORMATIONAL" than it ever will be commerce related.

I hope you enjoy the rest of your sailing season but would encourage you to leave the policing of the new forum up to the people in charge of it-namely Rick White. That was the whole intent of the new format.

For the rest of you I hope you will gain valuable knowledge and information from SCUTTLEBUTT and that you too have a great season on the water.

Just an aditional note about Scuttlebutt. It is not a web site, its a newsletter. It contains a wide variety of information and as Mark said, links to aditional information that is related. Its like getting a synopsis (sp?) on what is going on in the sailing world. Unfortunately it does not contain much about multi hull sailing unless its big boats, (thats why we are here)
Good post Mark.

Read on, learn more, sail often.
