Hello folks! There's a guy up in Indiana who is dying for an excuse to come down out of the snow and learn something about the used Hobie 16 he bought. We only have Waves, so I don't have access to a boat to help him.

He needs to learn how to rig and sail the boat, basically. He's aware he probably doesn't even have all of his parts. I sent him the link to the boat manual online, but you know how much easier it is to learn by seeing and doing.

If you're game let me know and I'll hook the two of you up.

Barb, This is Stew Barcalow. We have sailed at some of the same events a good while ago. Back when you had a Hobie 18??? Haven't been on this site for ages. Still sail a 2000 Hobie 16 and even got my US Sailing Instuctor certification. Also have given some "advanced catamaran" sailing courses at BCC a few years ago.[ A Rick White Want-to-be :-) ]
Be glad to help the Indiana sailor out if he is still interested. Also have many used 16 parts and sails if he needs anything. Can give me a call at 954-981-8445 or email me at Hobiedoc@aol.com.
