I didn't think there were any 16 sailors left in the Great lakes. Do you have a fleet out there?

Actually, fleet sailing is alive and well here in the Midwest! We revived Hobie Fleet 276 here in the Detroit area this year. We have about 15 active sailors and a bunch more who are just sitting on the fence waiting for the right moment to jump in.

In addition, we'll have a Division 10 booth at the Strictly Sail Boat Show in Chicago. We will spend an evening talking about fleet building and putting together a program to boost the activity within the Division. There is some real excitement about the future of Hobie sailing here in the Midwest, with some people who have what it takes to make it happen!
