Posts: 1,152 tampa, fl | We made it in about 4:30. Ding about 4-5 minutes later, McDonalds a couple minutes after that. I have not seen results so I can not speak for accurate times.

Posts: 5,590 Naples, FL | Congrats to you Karl & Beth for slogging it out Sunday in light conditions to get your name scrawled on the trophy. Couldn't go to a nicer couple (although Ding and Mark are pretty cute, too - which SHOULD be a compliment from a homophobe like me)
I thought it nice you kept the party tame enough not to be asked to leave prematurely. And I gotta learn those Mad Skilz Warren has on the dance floor/sandbox...
Just when I think "I'm gettin' too old for this s***" Hiram's revives my outlook.
Forest was kind enough to help dredge a new channel on the east side of the narrow section with his daggarboard, so we have a new secret lane for next year. Be warned m'fers.
Rodericks - Dave gave you a pass this year because you're brown-nosing new job, but you pretty much better show next time or face the "Ding Stink-eye of DOOM!"
FoN gets a pass for being boatless this time. International playas can be that way... But there are getting to be other names on that trophy besides yours and Dalton (a.k.a "Steve")
Tad - I feel an "intervention" style meeting coming your way soon... Such a waste that you tweaked that boat up so nicely to see it collect leaves in the back yard.
And the rest of you teensy-boaters.... not sure what to say. It doesn't get any easier or more relaxed than this, even when it's honkin.
Big props to the Getaway crew and the Taipan cattle herders from New Mexico. Who knew this race had nationwide appeal!
On the logistics side (speaking to the wider audience), does anyone have a particular scheduling problem if this event were held this time of year (versus October/Halloween)? Maybe the second weekend in January? That would keep you in shape for T-winds during the LONG break from Steeplechase (unless there was a Hangover race I didn't know about)
And for you jet-setting rock stars, with all these events within the span of 1 month, it may be worth keeping your boat here for a stint and get the endurance series points racked up. Let's see... Steeplechase Hiram's T-winds Charlotte Harbor Lake Monroe Challenge Mug Race?
All in a little over 2 months

Posts: 139 Hernando, Florida | Congrats to you and Beth for leading the pack along with Ding, Mat and others for sticking it out and going back. We had a great time and looking forward to next year. Dam Stink, you let it out about our new short cut. Of course it only works for boats with short cheap boards and not those long high dollar ones.
Want to throw a thanks out to Craig, Scott and Warren for a great job! Had a great time and looking forward to next year.

I'm boatless.
