Hello,
I just sold my F18 since I now have chidreen and the time is missing. I'm looking for a fun boat, very fast to set up and solid. I want to be able to go sail alone on it and bring childreen sometimes.

Are the wave fun boat fun to sail in moderate wind. I weight 200 pounds. I look on youtube and to look very fun to sail in heavy winds, but I'm concerne about the moderate winds.

Some people told me that these boat are for beginner only. Is it true?

I will sail it in the saint laurence river. There are sometimes big waves. Are they suitable for this?

Thank you very much for your advise.

There are some folks that have never sailed the boat and make lowly comments about it.
Wave sails very well in all conditions, light, moderate and heavy, tack at 90 degrees and can be sailed alone or have four adults as well (it will just be a little deeper in the water), hard to capsize and a snap to right.
We have a bunch of Rock Stars sailing Wave.., not a beginner boat. There are several World, National and North American Champions from different classes now sailing Waves

I found a good deal on wave in a store. The guy told me it is a 2012, but the hull fabrication is 2007. Is it possible? Is there difference between 2007 and 2012.

I found the price for the trailer from hobie are expensive. Is there a chaeper option?

Thank you for your advise

There is no difference between years except for some minor hardware updates.

You can get a lawn tractor trailer at Lowe's, deck it with plywood and carpet, and it will actually be better than a cat trailer. You can also use it to haul trash and motorcycles! grin

If you're looking for a Wave, perhaps this is the season. Look on Craigslist, Tampa Bay area and nearby locations. I saw 4 for sail in various states of completeness, one as low as $1000.

Jack, did you see the one in Gainesville?
