Posts: 175 Melbourne | Hi All, At Rye interest in the Mossie is growing after some great work around the club with training and also people getting into Mossie sailing. The problem with further growth of the Rye Mossie fleet is the current dearth of good second hand boats. If anyone is looking to sell their boat or you know of a decent second hand boat for sale can you let me know and I will put you onto the people I know are keen to find a good boat to get into the class with. My email is [email protected]Happy sailing!!!

Posts: 13 Henley S.C, Adelaide, S.A. | Hi Nick, I also sent you an email re my Mossie for sale: Hagar 1714. The details of the boat are on the national website. Also Doug from Rye SC was in Adelaide and took a look at the boat - I'm sure he can pass on his impression of the boat to other club members if they wish.
Cheers, Rob Hagar 1714

Posts: 175 Melbourne | Thanks Rob,
Much appreciated. I have chatted with Doug about the boat and have also passed the details on within the yacht club.
Best regards.

Posts: 556 Somers, Westernport Bay, Victo... | Hi Luke, Tim and his daughter "Charlie" came over on Sunday and picked up "Out of the Blue". I spent an hour and a half rigging it up and showing them some of the finer points of rigging a Mozzie. The old Mozzie certainly looked good with a matching jib from Spirit of Somers now re-named Macka Mozzie. Looks like I will have to come over to Rye for a visit next season. Regards, Peter p.s. I even had to update my sign-in and image.

Posts: 175 Melbourne | Hey that's great news Peter. The Rye fleet is growing!!!!
Just need a second hand foam boat now if anyone has one? Around the $7-10k mark.

Posts: 556 Somers, Westernport Bay, Victo... | Hi Luke, Yep the spinnaker pole went too and was nicely piggy backed and firmly secured on top of the mast. I hope he doesn't forget to pass it on. I just couldn't remember how the jib set-up went. It is a 2:1 system with what looks like a barber hauler built in. I only ever used a 1:1 ratio. Someone at the club like Gordon should be able to help Tim.
