Posts: 5,590 Naples, FL | pick a spot in the central-ish area of FL (Punta Gorda is probably good in that respect) and you could then drive to pretty much any area in a few hours for the various regattas held in every nook and cranny (including inland lakes) of FL.

Posts: 5,590 Naples, FL | Bert,
How does one go about getting a PHRF certificate? Do I contact the local regatta committee, or will one from a national source work?
In my particular case, it's a stock F-24m2 but didn't come with any PHRF cert (just a sailplan cert)

Posts: 490 | Jay, I am on the Gulf Yachting Association Multihull Rating Committee, and we began working with Trey Ritter in 1995. We use the most up to date ratings for trimarans. Our application is available on www.gya.org under the Racing > multihulls region. We also have a national consortium for handicapping new or one - offs. A member from BAMA (Steve Green), Trey Ritter (from GLMRA), Dave Calvert, and two of us on the GYA Comm serve as the team. We just provided SSS with a rating for Mike McGarry's 18' hydrosail which he brought to the Buzzelli Regatta. The current rating for your C 24 is 84 PHRF. If you have time send me your e address, and I will send you an application. | | |
