Posts: 160 North Carolina | Can anyone give me a reference to align the one piece gudgeons? I have rebuilt my transoms, so I am drilling and tapping new holes blind. How far above the drain plug maybe??? About how far are they placed from the outside of the hull? Thanks in advance.

Posts: 160 North Carolina | Getting back to you a little late, but thanks for all of the input. Zach, I got those pictures and they were a big help. Thanks for taking the time to do that. I got the new gudgeons installed and have been sailing now on four separate occasions in big wind with no problems. There is a little slop that I am going to have to work out with the new one-piece gudgeons, but I definitely feel better about them that the two piece. I'll definitely be taking the screws out occasionally to ensure I never have to do that again. I learned a lot through this repair. Now I am looking forward to making up for lost time.
