Hi,

I am new to cat sailing (except taking out Hobie Waves at resorts!!) and am wanting to buy a cheap Cat to start.

I'm wanting to do a combination of solo sailing, be able to take a mate out for an occasional sail (not experienced) and also go out with my son (5 y/o)

I'm 6'6 and 94kgs, so weight may become an issue when two of us are out. I have been looking around at various models trying to work out which would be a good buy.

So far I am considering:

1. Waverush 14
2. Hobie 14 Turbo
3. Mosquito (yes i know they are 16')

I was going to get a Hobie but have heard they are as bouyant as the Windrush and may not be best for heavier people.

I'd love some advice on this. Probably only looking to spend up to $1,500 at this stage.

Cheers
