Just a reminder...The Strictly Sail Show is taking place January 29 - February 1 at Navy Pier in Chicago. Hobie sailors from all over the Midwest will be sharing time in the Division 10 booth, promoting fleet membership and participation.
In additon, we will be holding a Division 10 meeting at Bob Chinn's Crab House Chicago, on Saturday night, immediately following the close of the show at 8 P.M. I have attached an invitation that gives more detail regarding the meeting location.
As Division 10 chairman for the North American Hobie Class Association, it is obviously my goal to grow Hobie sailing throughout MI, OH, IN, and IL. However, my overall goal is to increase participation in fleet sailing overall. As fleets strive to grow their numbers, they will welcome new members, regardless of their boat type.
Everyone is welcome to attend the fleet building seminar on Saturday night. There is no charge and you might pick up a few ideas on how to start or grow a fleet! At any rate, if you are attending the show, stop by our booth and say hi!
Thank you Mary, for all your help...and thanks to all the sailors who have already commited to spending time in the booth to promote fleet activity. It is through hard work that we will see this sport grow. Hope to see you in the windy city!
