I am wondering if there are plans to run a 2005 tybee500/OB500 in 2005. Most races are advertised years in advance, it seems that registration and organization for a May race should have been in the works by now.

I have spoken with the organizers and the race is very much in the works.

Three Hurricanes roared up the coast this fall and several of the landing sites are not available due to storm damage. Details with alternate sites are being worked out. They believe they will have the info and web site up at the begining of the year.

I just got back from Steeplechase and they made some announcements there. The race will be in May. It will be called the Atlantic 1000. You can choose to do the North or South part or both. It will be open to all classes of cats and they will class anything they can. You can bet there will be a large class of I20's there. They are going to allow for an open class and use Texel numbers for it.
