Will a good knife cut the shroud and trap wires?

Hi Greg:
I have both a sailors knife and a safety knife with serrated blade. I believe that the safety knife will do the trick but do not take this for granted.
Mostly I think you should worry about not getting entangled with the sheets or rope extension of yr trapeze line (if you have an adjuster) or if you capsize and get trapped under the tramp. You can probably get a safety knife a any hardware store or at any marine goods supplier.
Good luck

Hey Greg!

Here's the knife that I have:

[Linked Image]

It's a Gerber River Guide knife with a sharp point. I believe that with adreniline to back me up, I could cut through shrouds or trap wires. However, I echo the statement, that I'm more concerned about sheets, and getting tangled under sails or trampolines and I know I could stab through either with my knife. It also has a great holster that attaches nicely to my trap harness.
