Hi all:
last year I parked my Hobie17 over at kismet overnight next to a long line of other hobies. the next morning, in addition to several masts down, almost every trampoline had been cut by some drunken troublemakers. I'm only now getting around to fixing mine.
Anyone have any advice on how to fix a 7" hole in a trampoline? I did a google search and check Murrays.com for trampoline repair kits but there's nothing but replacement trampolines. I'd rather not have to replace the whole thing
pls let me know
thanks
sheila J

Sorry to hear about that I cant believe they would do that to your boat. You can sew your tramp and patch it with a regular home sewing machine , I made my whole tramp myself last winter . Mine is black mesh if yours is vinyl it might be a little harder . Try to find someone with a machine to do it for you , finding extra material to patch it might be the hard part . Let me know if I can be any help I live in nassau and have a machine and some experience sewing .

I had some success lately using a sewing maching and some kevlar fishing line. A friend stitched the entire forward section that captures the bolt rope that slides into the kerf of the main beam.

If you don't want to do it your self, bring it to Sailor's Choice on Ocean Ave (Above Yacht Services) in Amityville. They have done a lot of tramp work for me for decent prices. I would bet it would be about $35.
