This guy says that this cat is comparable too a nacra 6.0, he is using that tornado sail. Is this a supercat 20?

I don't know what it is (looks kinda like a SC but not wide enough) but I will say that the poor thing has seen better days.

That's not enough beam to be an SC20 although it looks kind of like some old style Super Cat rudders. Although the SC21 was 8.5' wide, the boards are in the wrong place (unless there was an earlier version with traditional daggerboard placement)...got me. Bill?

Free might not be enough of a deal after seeing the damage in the side of it...will they pay you to take it away?

well, the guy is asking $800, i was kinda thinking after he didn't gt any offers for a few weeks i might try to swoop in and snap it for parts. Like jake says free, if i tow it away, i like traveler cars and tracks, and i want a tornado sail like that to make a small square top for my prindle 19. Price would have to be right ;-)

If the I-20 daggers are really new as advertised, those alone will get you to the total price of the boat... Looks like a parts deal to me.

It is trash. You could put 4 - 6 grand into that "thing" to get it rockin again.

Salvage.

Looks like a Nacra 6.0 wannabee for sure. The hulls appear to have come from an 18sq, Coyote vintage (Morrelli?).

IMHO,

Jake - the bottom picture shows "new" daggers. The pic above that shows that the boardwells have been filled to fit them. Those boards are really pricey - it'd be worth the purchase price just for the boards.

I missed those last couple of pictures...no kidding! Judging by the condition of the 'hull' stripe in the boards I would say they are relatively new! That's insane.

Anyhow, If anyone is looking for a set of Inter boards let let me know and maybe we can work something out where I just ship them straigt too ytou if I get the boat. If your in the bay area maybe we can work out some kinda parts partnership. heheh. Thanks again.

Hi Josh,
This boat looks very similar to the Freestyle 474 tested in an old Aussie mag about 20 years ago. The transoms look a little taller and if it takes a Tornado mainsail then it could be the Freestyle 575, which is refered to in a list of boats in a Multihulls mag. I have seen the only 474 sold in Australia, and it looked to be a good design and hard to nosedive ala Supercats. The manufacturer must have gone bust.

cheers

Simon

$hit, where do you start.

Hulls are trashed, Mast sleaved, Rigging shot
That traveller looks dangerous.

Notice the helmet in the bottom pic...... May want that if you go anywhere near this boat.

May make a good tow platform for some surfers or a lightning experiment but thats about it
