Does anyone know the actual weight of the I17R (with snuffer, etc)? Not just guesses. Not from the old web site. Maybe someone who actually weighed one with a carbon mast. I have hear so many different numbers (280-325) and would be interested to know if someone put one on a scale.
Thanks

The ISAF measured the Euro I17 at 157kg (345 lb)
Texel has 155kg (341 lb)
The Euro I17 Alu mast would probably weigh about 8 lbs more and I think Texel weighs the boats with required safety gear ( righting lines, paddle, and whatever) so figure 10 lbs.
I was considering the I17R a while ago. When I called the factory they wouldn't give a definite answer.

Mike,

I suspect that the boat ( dry) is NOT as heavy as noted.

Reason being, I have a I 17 normal. I use boat fenders, not beach wheels( long story) to pull my boat up the beach here in St Croix. I can do it fairly easily too ( I have a good incline to go up!).

Tom has a I-20 next to me, him and Scott (crew) are younger and stronger than me, (I'm 49), they grunt and groan to get their boat up the same incline. In fact, they look for a third body to help, if they can..( they use beach wheels)

Point being, I doubt if I can roll 350-ish pounds up a sand dune.

I still say 310 or so. Why the Factory does not cooperate is stupidity.
I weighted mine the best I could and came up with 315 lbs, and that was everything.
