1. The February CABB event this year will be the Bug Light Double Distance Race. The event date is going to be Saturday, February 12. The start will be from the Rickenbacker Causeway. The crew meeting will be at 10:30. Please have your boat ready to sail by the time of the crew meetings so that we can get started immediately after the meeting.

This will be a double distance race. The first race will start at the Rickenbacker and proceed out to Bug Light which is a few miles southeast of Cape Florida. From there we will proceed to the ocean side of Key Biscayne and land on the beach. We will take a lunch break on the beach and then start the second race. The second race will be a reverse course of the first race. It will finish back at the Rickenbacker.

So, make your plans to attend. Get that crew lined up early and check the boat over for any needed repairs. This is always one of the more popular races of each year.

2. The Tradewinds regatta, held in January was a huge success again this year. There were over 60 boats from all up and down the Eastern seaboard. There were 7 CABB member boats participating and 3 CABB members helping running the regatta. There were several other South Florida cat sailors in attendance. A good time was had by all who attended.
