The trac 18 is a very nice well designed cat ,-the original designer I think was Hubbard ,-noted for excellent cat designs of all types inc C Class and little am cup boats .--Many of the features --stern location crossbeam mount and rudder system attachment and hardware were deveoped for the C Class cats and used on the trac 18 .
The hull lines with nice rocker profile,-easily driven shape and minimal wetted surface area have extended pedigree and we see very similar hull shapes on Morelli melvin designs among others,--{commonality of good design features },--
check out the Ventilo models and hull similarities in shape .
http://www.morrellimelvin.com/ Think AMF alcort --same co that makes the sunfish ,-made them originally ,-not made since the late 80s? ,it may be difficult to find parts etc or a tuning guide ,-know midwest sailing in MI
locally has two trac 16s --one still new in boxes ,--they may have info on trac cats .
http://www.ms-pyc.com/ Think you will find this trac 18 w boards easy to sail ,-it should be similar to any curent modern 18 .
Might suggest a H-18 tuning guide and apply most of the same aspects to this similar type in substitute for non existant trac 18 tuning guide.
good luck with it .it is a great find though a cat with race performance intent and was surprized it was not more popular when first built and introduced in the marketplace .
