Posts: 552 | Hello All, go to http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/refresh/graphics_at5+shtml/144629.shtml?5dayTo see a tropical wave be named a Hurricane BEFORE it enters the Caribbean Ocean is not good. Here we go again. reluctant regards, Bruce I-17 (not saying where I am going next) | | | Re: Another H-storm, this is unbelievable

Posts: 552 | Here in the mainland, even the Keys, you can jump in your car and 'run away'!
In the islands, no such luck, mon. You button down and sit it out.
Plus, the construction up here,...no one would build such a structure in the Caribbean. No such thing as a wood house down there.
All cement, roofs are 3 x 8 minimum cast into the walls, preinstalled shutters on doors and windows,..and a generator to keep the ice cream cold after the storm.
But still, the best hurricane is no hurricane

That's normal for the gulf - it is usually between 90-94 during the summer. All we need is some bubbles and we have one big-@ss jacuzzi

Posts: 975 South Louisiana, USA | Tell you what Mary, come on down to the gulf coast. We got something for ya!!! Enough rain to drown a fish and hurricanes to boot. Anywhere near the gulf of Mexico there is always a chance of getting the big one. We got one a couple of years ago. Unfortunately the media was dissapointed that no one perished... not much to talk about then. BUT! We'd be happy to send you some rain if I could just figure out how to do it. You should come down to Louisiana sometime, its a lot like Florida except lots of bugs, not much sand and you sweat like a Sumo wrestler in a Sauna. Well maybe its not like Florida. Man, Life is good in paradise!!! Clayton | | | Re: Another H-storm, this is unbelievable

Posts: 3,906 Clermont, FL, USA | Dennis was a big disappointment to all of us up here in northern Ohio. We had hoped for a bunch of rain, we dethatched the lawn and planted grass seed in anticipation. But we got NOTHING! And we had hoped for wind for our Wednesday racing. But NOTHING! Should have stayed in Key Largo. That will teach you.
