Measure the bow to opposite rudder pins to get the boat square before tensioning. Use a line to pull the longer dimension closer and hold while tensioning the tramp.
Use a liquid soap to get the tramp into the side bars.
Lace the center from the front aft. Lace the rears from the corner casting holes then towards the center.
One trick we use...
Strap a line around the middle of the tramp, around the sidebars. Fix your mainsheet system to the line so you can tension and pull the sidebars in. Bow them in considerably, several inches anyway. Tension the center lace then the rear. Loosen the mainsheet setup and... shabang! You have a tight tramp with less effort and less stress on each grommet.
