Just thought I'd share a pic of my new sails that I got this past weekend at Catfest. Man, I can tell a huge difference in performance on the boat, especially since the old ones were rags. Now for the new black spinnaker...
They are stock Nacra 20 sails made by Elliot Pattison. I think their website is www.epsails.com. They did a great job! Trey N20 873 Layline Rigging www.velocitysailing.com

To enhance your sailing pleasure, try tightening the shrouds (wrinkles in jib - forestay sag) and tightening the top 3-4 battens in the mainsail. Skip makes a great sail!!

Those shrouds were tight, we tensioned them before going out. Because the sail is new, it will stretch a little (so Dave Lennard told me), and next time I go out I will ahve to tighten the battens. I was too intent on having a blast to worry about messing with it on the water. As far as the jib goes, I had just added a self-tacker, and the sheeting angle is not quite correct yet, so that caused most of the wrinkles. Still some kinks to work out.... I also received a new sail this weekend. Went to put it up but the sail kept coming out of the mast. The mast is new and the old sail (a year old) worked fine. It turns out that boltrope is too small. We compared it to a few sails old and new. This is the second main sail in two years I have rejected. The first one (last year) the batten pockets were too close to the boltrope and the sail would not go up. Not to be negative but I am a little pissed at the quality of the sails as well as other replacement parts.

Just placed an order for a new main from Calvert sails (it seems like posts on catsailor are happy with them). A friend found a good used pentex jib that looks like it ought to work out great.

Forget about that sail crap, trim your engine down. That's a nasty rooster tail.
I figured it was a big puff and they were slamming the tiller. Doesn't look like too much wind out there, which may explain some of the wrinkles.
Nice looking sail. I will say that every set I get from EP is slightly different, which probably means they're getting feedback from the rock stars and modifying the designs. For instance, my oldest sail (circa 2001) has a few extra inches on the top, but the next oldest one (circa 2003) has a more vertical leech/roach (don't know which is the correct terminology there). And don't get me started on the spinnakers!
I figure this is good, as I like the oldest (baggy) sail for the light air stuff because the luff curve looks deeper, and the newer (flater) one seems to have a bit more top end.
Can't wait to see what my next set looks like!

Sorry guys, I was stuck in baltimore at a business conference.
I'm probably not going to be able to make Outback either. I just received word that I'm being sent to Boston for three weeks in October. On top of that, my aunt is getting married that weekend in Maryland so I'm just screwed three ways from sunday.
Crickey its getting downright impossible to sail these days.
