We had the pleasure of attending the BWYD Regatta on Lake Keowee in Seneca S.C. this past weekend. This was my first time sailing on this lake and hopefully it won't be the last. Rick Harper and the other organizers of this event did a wonderful job of making everyone feel welcome to their club. The weather was perfect with good wind and sunshine against a backdrop of the Carolina foothills. What a beautiful place! Jeff Price and his crew, as always, did an excellent job running the races, getting in five on Saturday and three on Sunday. We had five Tigers racing (had to put in a plug for the fleet!) as well as a good turn out of 16's, 17's, 18's, 20's and a few open boats. I always enjoy traveling to different places to sail and meeting new people. It's what makes this sport thrive, and I want to encourage everyone to support the people that volunteer to put these events on year after year. Thanks again to everyone invloved for a great weekend.
