Has anyone ever had their aluminium mast double etched? This would change the character of the section and lighten it. I'm just trying to find out a little more about it, before I decide whether or not to try it.
Yes you can do it but it is risky if you go to far. Normal etch is about 20 minutes. Going to 40 would be safe. Going to 60 could cause uneven etching resulting in uneven thickness. You need to speak to the annodizers to confirm.
