I have problems with the steers of my Prindle 18. Whatever I do to repair them, they will not stay down when I am sailing. I am looking any advice or maybe a different steersystem. Who can help me, please. I wanna sail, without muscle ache.

Steers = Rudders ?

I'll bet your rudders springs are old and can't hold your rudders down anymore. Buy a spool of Stainless steel wire like the stuff used for aircraft. Cinch together a couple of loops of your springs and you should be good as new.

Good Luck,

At times the cross bolt that the brass hook in the leading edge of the rudder becomes bent and stays in that position never letting the rudderblade catch. Try to swap out the bolts from top to bottom. Remember that the bolts are aluminium for a reason do not put stainless bolts in thinking they will last longer. Also check the catch hook itself for wear. Bob Grubb N5.2
