Posts: 270 Nepean (Ottawa) Ontario Canada | Haven't seen the video but have seen posts of people who liked it.
There are plenty of posts on doing a tack properly especially from h14 sailors as they have no jib to help.

Total Boat Handling is quick skim over all parts of sailing and racing a cat. The rest are a break down of all the components. For example, in "Total Boat Handling" tacking is briefly covered but is thoroughly covered "Cat Roll Tacking and Upwind Sailing." If you are only concerned about your tacking, then "Cat Rolltacking, etc" is the best video for that purpose.
Good luck, Rick | | | Re: Rick White's Total Boat handling video

I would get all 5 of Rick's Tapes. I love the and am going to share them now with daughter and grand daughter as I am training them. Ashleigh (GD) has 5 years (started at 7) experience as a crew with me ( 2 on the wire). She is getting stick time now. I would also recommend you get "Catamaran Racing for the 90's". I have 26 years in and I still learned a few things form the book. Great job Rick.
