The Amish is a group of people that believe in a very simple way of life and use very little technology in their day to day life. No TVs, no cars, no power tools, etc. I do believe they are slowly accepting some modern items ... I suppose sewing machines? The Amish are respected for their hand crafting but usually with wood. It's weird that they have taken up making trampolines for catamarans though or that this would be a selling point.

There are large Amish communities in the state of Pennsylvania.

I'm originally from an Amish area in PA and can vouch for their excellent craftsmanship and attention to detail as quite a few were hired to build the house that I lived in. I was a little surprised to find out they're making catamaran trampolines because I never even recall seeing a catamaran in that part of the country before. I´m confident about the quality of the work and they confirmed that the thread is UV resistant, so it should be good I think. About the mesh, are there many different types or qualities, anything to be aware of?

I would look at salty dogs products. The tramps from the amish are the same price or close and salty is a respectable business, not someone making tramps in their barn. The amish also have junk boats and parts for sale. My guess is they buy old boats and get their measurements that way.

bought one for my Prindle 19 on eBay for $200. It is very very nice looking! I havent put it on yet, but Im very impressed!

I have purchased a few tramps and a friend has ordered a full cover from SALTY DOG I was terribly dissapointed in the service I received each and every time, only after numerous phone calls did I get the ordered products. They always said that the women that were making the stuff was either on vacation or sick or some other excuse for the delays. I have no complaints about the quailty of the products, just the service and length of time for delivery.

What the heck are Amish people using computers for?? No TV, Radio, can openers but yet selling stuff on ebay??

Seems kinda strange all of a sudden. I have seen there products on Ebay a lot.

A friend of mine bought on for his Hobie 14, it is really nice. It fit perfectly, and lasted the first seasone just fine. He only paid 175, when if he had bought one from Hobie or other places he was looking at 250 at least.

One of the sailors in our club recently had an aluminum trailer box made up by an Amish shop. Extremely nice work, and a very nice price to match considering what was made.
