Posts: 12,310 South Carolina | I thought surely you were joking - but I searched and found them on ebay. Up for auction is a new Nacra 5.0 trampoline. This is a new item - made from durable trampoline mesh fabric which gives it strength and the ability to shed water. Hand crafted by the Pennsylvania Amish Dutch - Each tramp has two storage compartments and foot straps. We use Spurred grommets and a nylon strap is sewn into the grommet edge to give it added strength. You won't be disappointed with these custom built tramps. The Amish is a group of people that believe in a very simple way of life and use very little technology in their day to day life. No TVs, no cars, no power tools, etc. I do believe they are slowly accepting some modern items ... I suppose sewing machines? The Amish are respected for their hand crafting but usually with wood. It's weird that they have taken up making trampolines for catamarans though or that this would be a selling point. There are large Amish communities in the state of Pennsylvania.

Posts: 471 NC | I'm originally from an Amish area in PA and can vouch for their excellent craftsmanship and attention to detail as quite a few were hired to build the house that I lived in. I was a little surprised to find out they're making catamaran trampolines because I never even recall seeing a catamaran in that part of the country before. I guess all they really need are the specs and they can make whatever. I got my new trampoline from Murrays (Notice the plug for Team Velocity Sailing because Murrays is going to continue to provide quality gear for the TVS ground crew this year. Right Trey?) | | | Re: Pennsylvania Amish Dutch Trampolines

Posts: 902 Norman,OK | A friend of mine bought on for his Hobie 14, it is really nice. It fit perfectly, and lasted the first seasone just fine. He only paid 175, when if he had bought one from Hobie or other places he was looking at 250 at least.

Posts: 902 Norman,OK | I don't think he is, he has all the amish in shackles in a huge factory somewhere. He forces them to make stuff for him or he will make them watch TV.
