First of all: before you travel have the Comodore, Director, President or Chief of the place you sail at write a nice letter requesting similar organizations in the Rio/Niteroi area to assist you. This will help you enter any club or marina as a temporary associate if you want.
Then, try to contact the clubs affiliated to the sailing federation. Their list is in the end.
One tip: the best catsailing will be found in a multihull comunity close to the first club on the list (Buzios Vela Club). Look for the Wrights. Other names to look for are:
Eduardo Penido, Clinio Freitas, Kiko Pellicano, Beto Pandiani and Claudia Swan. Sorry, I am out of the country and do not keep any contact with them. My own boat is in Rio now, but yet to be launched.
