Unregistered | The old forum was a real trip, but did get some help on my F-18 questions. I e-mailed the NA F18 class, an got a quick response to my questions. Thinking about flying into Traverse City, for the Larsen & Van Gleese F18 tuning clinic.
hope to talk to some Tiger & Nacra sailors. I was told, also to check out the Twister.

You've probably seen my post on the old forum but this one seriously a reply to your post.
Are you saying that Gunnar Larsen is giving a clinic at Traverse City ? Coz if it is him than be sure to go as he is trully at the very top of F18 sailors. That guy is fast on a F18.
The Twister is a largely unknow F18 but I seem to remember that they experimented with jibing boards on that platform, might be worth while to check it out.
Last quote on the mystere that came to my attention (in 2001) was 10.500 USD ; this will make it the most affordable F18 in North america.

Posts: 39 Ontario, Canada | I sent in my registration money yesterday,, and am looking forward to racing in Traverse on a new Twister. I hear that Traverse is a fabulous sailing center, and the F-18 tuning clinic with G-L is a real bonus.
This will also be a great tune-up for the MEGA, regardless of what class you might be sailing there and then !!
Actually,, the list pricing on the Twister is still $10.5k US c/w your snuffer style of choice. Late season deals could be even better than that !!

Thanks for the info; any chance of making a few pics of your new boat and putting them up on the web. The mystere could use such a promo and It is the only F18 next to alado that I have never seen upclose.

Look like tornado style rudder stocks and kickup mechanisms. Very neat. Looks to have a nice high freeboard.Might well be worth a testsail.
