Posts: 440 Graham, NC | I have a tiger chute on my 18. Using a 12' endpole snuffer. Replaced mast with taller SX mast. The tang height is about 27', not sure but can measure for you this weekend while I'm working on it. My blocks are in the deck about a foot in front of the sidestays. I didn't rig the spin, Trey Brown did. I think the blocks could have been attached to the sidestay and would have done that had I installed it myself. Second blocks are on the crossbar. I also run a Tiger main and am completing the conversion to a self-tacking jib system this weekend. I'd be happy to help you as much as I can with measurements, etc. Personal e-mail is ncmbm@hotmail.comLater checked my reply from Hobie on this, tang is 26'8" on Jacques' Tiger

Posts: 12,310 South Carolina | I'm toying with the idea of adding a self-tacking jib to my P19MX, and I like the Hobie self-tacking hardware I've seen. If you're using the Hobie parts, do you have any idea what the radius of the jib track is? The radius should be roughly the radius from the self tacker straight to the forestay in the same line the sheeting angle would be done. You want to be slightly flatter than this radius and definitely not MORE than this radius (if it is more, the jib would be tighter in the middle of the self tacker and wouldn't "self tack" with sheet pressure on.)

Posts: 1,884 Detroit, MI | From the Tiger class rules: The head of the spinnaker shall not be hoisted higher than 8,150 mm (320.866 inches) from the base of the mast extrusion. There's no spec on the length of the pole in the class rules. | | | Re: Tiger measurements

Posts: 12,310 South Carolina | That system actually sounds like what I'm looking for. Do you know what the I20 track radius is? Same as the Nacra F18 radius.... <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif" alt="" />
