Something I missed in Wouter's post was the effect caused by waves/chop. In flat water flying a hull under spin at a constant angle is pretty easy but with waves and bad chop it is a different story, even harder to do when the wind is up. I haven't sailed an F16 but imagine that with its short waterline you either have to get the weight back as far as humanly possible (get a chicken wire for that), or keep both hulls in the water for most of the time.
