Hi all,
got back yesterday, what a great regatta

. Easy for me to be happy I guess, but I was totally impressed with the big fleet and general attitude of the sailors. Very competitive, but friendly at the same time, a combination that is not found in all classes

.
After winning last years Nats with out Darren and Bob attending

, I was doubly keen to win this one

. Just happy that new centreboards, rudders and further tuning made it possible

.
Would like to thank Bob and Darren in particular for the spirit in which we raced, when wins come down to margins of 2 seconds, Port-Starboards on the finish line and OCS disqualifications after finishing races, things can get tense

, but the friendliness prevailed

.
Also a big thanks to Tim, Neil, Peter, Mitch and Nick. The GLYC fleet, that I have the luck to compete with every week

, without the quality of competition at home and the ready sharing of information on techniques and tuning it would be far more difficult to be on the pace when it comes to competing elsewhere

.
Finally thanks to every one of the 34 competitors that made the effort to participate, you made the 2010-11 Nats the success they where and the Portarlington Y.C. for being a willing host at short notice.
Anybody that didn't make the Nat's, put the Vic States in your diary now, or you will be kicking yourself again

, for missing out on yet another great Mossie event. Look forward to seeing you all in Paynesville come the Labour Day Weekend, 12-14th March, hope we can make it as good as the Nats

.
