Bimare in Italy is very responsive and committed to customer service - unlike Marstrom. I've seen a number of their newest A cat designs up close and they are nice. I highly recommend them.

The only downside is that its unproven and the company is new, so you might not get the level of service you want. But if they are near your summer place then you might want to go check it out in person.
As far as a spin, I agree that a spin is exciting. However so is an A cat. You might want to start with an A and add a spin later.
An A cat in over 8knots at your size will be a blast. Its much less to deal with in terms of complexity, rigging, etc.
