I believe the A-class is your best choice if you want the best performance with minimum setup and hassle. It is so easy to go sailing. If you must have a chute, go with the Marstrom. The fuller bows up front will work better than than the wave piercer designs. I own an A2, it's a wonderful boat, no harder to sail than any other A-class. I've owned an Auscat Mk. IV and Mk. V, also great boats. The differences in the design platforms are subtle. The Marstrom is still very competitive. The winners in the A-class are those who put the time on the water, no secrets there.
