Wouldn't a bungee from the spreader to the shrouds serve to limit mast rotation though??? I would think in light wind especially that would be a bit of a problem??
Nah, use a small diameter bunji (1/8") and tie it loosely so that it only gets slightly snug when the mast is rotated away from the shroud. Works fine. I've never had a problem with my trap wires getting hung on the spreaders on the Nacras - but we did experience that a bit with the Cap during Tradewinds. Easy fix though.
