I like the idea of the Tatoo. I think it could benefit from a little bit bigger main (especially with a weight of 170kg) and a boom. A better alternative to the H16? I bet it's at least more durable.

Posts: 6,049 Sebring, Florida. | Or against a standard H16.
It says the T2 weighs 388 with 178 sq. ft. sail area, how does that compare to the H16?
Also, looks like single trap only? My guess is the H16 is going to be quicker upwind, but with the spinnaker the T2 would pass them downwind.
So...who's going to be the first to hot rod one and add a bigger, self tacking jib?
;^)
Here's the H16 specs. from the Hobie website:
Hobie 16 Complete Specs & Features
Specifications Crew: 1-4 Length: 16' 7" / 5.04 m Beam: 7' 11" / 2.41 m Capacity: 800 lbs / 362 kg Weight: 320 lbs / 145 kg Draft w/ Rudder Up: 10" / .25 m Mast Length: 26' 6" / 8.07 m Total Sail Area: 218 sq ft / 20 sq m
From that it looks like the H16 is 68lbs. lighter and has 40sq.ft. more sail area, so it should be faster upwind.
